Charles Robert Ashbee

Charles Robert Ashbee is one of the important designer of the Arts and Crafts movement in England. Architect, designer and writer, he founded in 1888 the Guild and School of Handicraft in London. He took his craft ethic from the work of John Ruskin and William Morris. His designs for silver and metal objects (buckles, jewellry, cutlery and tableware) contributed to his renown and aroused the interest of German and Austrain Jugendstil artists.
