This vase was one of the star pieces of the Baltic Exhibition of 1914 (Baltiska Uställningen) in Malmö, Sweden, from 15th May to 30th September 1914. The designs of the cranes by Wallander was so popular that it was used on the exhibition's official poster designed by Ernest Norlind. Alf Wallander died one day before the end of the show, 29th September 1914. This vase could very well be one of the last pieces he designed.Literature
