Designed for the Union Centrale des Arts Decoratifs, Paris, 1874 - The piece remained the property of the Christofle company until the early 1930’s, when it was sold or given to a friend of the new director Andre Bouilhet - By descent to his grand- daughter, southern France, until 2006 - Christie’s, London, 23rd February 2006, lot 100 - Private collection, Switzerland, acquired at the above sale, 2006-2012 - Oscar Graf Gallery, Paris, 2012-2013 - An important princely collection, UK, acquired in 2013.
