Prosper d'Epinay & Edmond Lachenal
Further images
Prosper d’Epinay and Edmond Lachenal worked on only three projects together, making it a very rare collaboration. They first made the portrait of a Mr. La Planche in 1878, then came a bust of Prosper’s son Georges d’Epinay, and finally the portrait of Princess Marie-Isabelle d’Orléans. After these three works, Lachenal would not work with another sculptor for almost ten years, and it is only after 1895 that he collaborated with Rodin, Sarah Bernhardt and Agnès de Frumerie.
