A similar cabinet in a different timber was sold at Sotheby's, London, 28th April 2009, lot 2. It was dated by Mary Greensted as ca. 1902 because it appeared in an early photo of Gimson's showroom at Daneway House. The present example has the addition of a stand, and while designs were sometimes re-used, the construction suggests an equally early date.Join our mailing list
