    Exhibitions

    Vienna International Exhibition, 1873

    Paris Universal Exhibition, 1878

    Literature

‘Christofle, 150 ans d’art et de rêve’ in Dossier de l’Art, volume 2, July-August 1991.

    Publications

The original drawing for this vase, dated ‘May 1872’, as well as a period photograph of an example fitted with an oil lamp, are in the collection of the Musée Bouilhet-Christofle. It is important to note that one of the examples offered here is the very same vase which was photographed. It is recognizable by a few tiny holes in the enamel. We are grateful for Mrs. Gros of the Bouilhet-Christofle Museum for her valuable generosity and help in cataloguing this lot.
