Provenance

Presumably commissionned by Andrew Mulr for the drawing room of his house at 42 Holland Park, London. Dispersed after his death in 1899 with other pieces of furniture. Untraced ni the first half of the twentieth century - Belgian art market, Ostend, 1960's - Private collection, Gent, acquired from the above dealer - Thence by descent until 2017
